If you're a resident of the European Union, you've probably already heard of the term 'GDPR.' You might have even received several emails from different digital service providers, alerting you of their updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. There's a good reason why.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new and important EU legislation designed to make data protection laws clearer and more accessible to all individuals within the European Union. This new regulation will be enforceable on May 25, 2018.

Let's make sense out of these new legalities without the confusing jargon.

The main goal of the GDPR is to standardize and regulate the handling of personal data about individuals in the EU, including its collection, storage, transfer or use by companies and third parties. The aim is to make this information more transparent and clear, so that you, the user of digital services including Photomyne, know how your content is stored and used.

Here's a summary of what information Photomyne collects when you use the app, and why. For a more in-depth explanation of your rights with regard to the GDPR, we encourage you to visit our dedicated EU-GDPR information page.
